With Der Rosenkavalier, Gürzenich-Orchester Köln immerses you in a world of melancholy, humour and sumptuous timbres. This beloved opera by Richard Strauss centres on a woman who looks back on her life, lets go, and with gentle resignation makes way for a new generation. Against a backdrop of graceful Viennese waltzes and a velvety orchestral sound, a moving yet light-hearted story unfolds about time, love and acceptance. Gürzenich-Orchester Köln stirs, moves and charms you in this concert version of Strauss’s vocal gem.
