Offers for families
For many people in Cologne, a visit to the Philharmonie with the whole family is a firmly rooted annual tradition. Musical stories to listen to, marvel at, and join in make the experience a truly special one for both young and old. In the first family concert »Mit Karacho!« neighbors Wum and Bum meet the no less sonorous ladies Ding and Dong. For the first time, we are also bringing our daycare concerts to community centers throughout the city. Two violins, a viola, and a cello embark on a journey »Ab ins All« and »Gürzis neues Abenteuer« with the music mobile leads through stormy weather—and, after a breakdown, back into the basket.

Parents at the concert, children at the museum – it’s possible!
Thanks to our new family offer, developed in cooperation with the Museums Service Cologne: while parents enjoy one of our symphony concerts at the Philharmonie, their children can take part in an exciting workshop at the Museum Ludwig. It’s an easy and enjoyable way for the whole family to experience culture together.
For the concert “Aug und Ohr” on March 16, 2025, the following workshop will be offered:
Ages 6–13: Drawing and painting surreal visual worlds
For the concert “Fabelhaft” on June 29, 2025, the following workshop will be offered:
Ages 6–13: Creating your own pixel monsters
Registration
Parents purchase regular tickets for the concert. Using the booking number, children can be registered free of charge for the workshops via an online registration form.
Registration is possible until the Thursday before the concert. Participation is limited.
The meeting point for the workshops is the information desk in the foyer of the Museum Ludwig at 10:40 a.m. on the day of the concert. The workshop ends at 1:15 p.m. at the same location.
