Max Raum

Max Raum, born in 1997, received his first classical drum lessons at the age of ten with Oliver Arlt, then with Marc Mödig. From 2013 to 2016 he was a junior student at the Julius Stern Institute of the Berlin University of the Arts with Prof. Thomas Lutz and Jens Hilse. This was followed by percussion studies in artistic education with Prof. Andreas Boettger, Erich Trog, Guido Marggrander, Agnieszka and Oliver Arlt at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media, which he has been continuing since 2021 in the Master's program at the Hochschule für Musik " Hanns Eisler" Berlin with Prof. Franz Schindlbeck and Prof. Rainer Seegers.

He has already gained professional orchestral experience with the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie, the Orchestra of the Theater für Niedersachsen Hildesheim, the Lower Saxony State Orchestra Hannover, the NDR Radiophilharmonie and the Theater Vorpommern. In 2019, he was an academist of the Magdeburg Philharmonic Orchestra.

Since January 15, 2022, he has been an academist with the Gürzenich Orchestra in Cologne.
