Bassoon – Orchestra academy

Victor König was born in Fürth in 2000. After initially taking bassoon lessons at the Nuremberg Music School with Sonja Sengpiel, he transferred to the Nuremberg Music Academy in 2015 as a junior student in the class of Nikolaus Maler. Already during this time he was able to gain a lot of practical experience in the university orchestra, in chamber music ensembles and in the Bavarian State Youth Orchestra. Various participations and prizes at "Jugend Musiziert" complemented his education. He participated in various master classes, among others with Malte Refardt, Eckart Hübner, Ulrich Hermann and Dag Jensen. As a substitute, Victor König played with the Augsburg Philharmonic Orchestra, the Lower Bavarian Philharmonic Orchestra Passau, the Folkwang Chamber Orchestra or the Stegreif Orchestra Berlin, among others. He has been a member of the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie since 2019, where he has also been involved in the program committee since 2020. For the winter semester 2019/2020 he began his full studies in the class of Tobias Pelkner at the Detmold University of Music. He has been an academist in the Gürzenich Orchestra Cologne since the 2021/2022 season.
