Melody is King

Sometimes we can't get a melody out of our heads. We hum it on the bike or sing it in the shower. But what makes an unforgettable melody? What does a good melody sound like, what was popular in the past and what are composers looking for today? Together with François-Xavier Roth, the Gürzenich-Orchester Köln goes in search of the origins of melody and invites the young audience on a journey through music history. 

Teachers and school classes have the opportunity to register for accompanying activities to prepare for and follow up on the concert visit.
