Amelie Gehweiler
Amelie Gehweiler, born in Lörrach, began playing the violin at the age of four. Her teachers included Jörg Hofmann, Daniel Sepec, and Ulf Schneider, with whom she completed her bachelor's degree at the University of Music, Drama and Media Hanover. Since 2017, she has been pursuing her master's degree at the Lübeck Music Academy under Heime Müller. Amelie Gehweiler was a scholarship holder of the Stiftung Musikleben and the Maggini Foundation Langenthal and received the Deutschlandstipendium.
The violinist gained orchestral experience as an academy member of the Ferenc Fricsay Orchestra Academy of the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin from 2018 to 2020, as a guest with the WDR Symphony Orchestra, as a scholarship holder of the orchestra academy of the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, and in the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra. Since November 2020, Amelie Gehweiler has been a permanent member of the first violins of the Gürzenich Orchestra.
