Ayane Okabe

Ayane Okabe was born in Tokyo, Japan, and began violin lessons at the age of four. She completed her bachelor’s degree at the Tokyo University of the Arts studying with Kazuki Sawa and Sonoko Numata. She is currently continuing her studies at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln with Michael Vaiman. She has also received further artistic impulses through masterclasses with Eduard Schmieder and Dora Schwarzberg at the Mozarteum in Austria, where she was selected to participate in an academy concert. From the beginning of the 2020/21 season until the end of the 2021/22 season, she was an academy member of the Gürzenich-Orchester Köln and has since been accepted as a second violinist.
