Colin Jahns

Colin Jahns, born in 2000 and raised in Marburg, received his first viola lessons at the age of ten. He completed his bachelor's degree at the University of Music, Drama and Media in Hanover with Volker Jacobsen and, as part of an Erasmus stay, at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam with Sven Tepl.
He received further artistic inspiration from Roland Glassl, Hartmut Rohde, Pauline Sachse and Barbara Westphal, among others. He is currently studying for his master's degree at the University of Music in Lübeck with Lena Eckels. Even before his studies, Colin was enthusiastic about playing in various youth orchestras and was a member of the German National Youth Orchestra. He gained professional experience from 2022 to 2024 as an intern with the NDR Radiophilharmonie and as a temporary employee at the Theater Lübeck. Colin has been a member of the Academy of the Gürzenich Orchestra Cologne since the beginning of the 2025/26 season.
