Ikuko Homma

Ikuko Homma studied at the Tokyo University of the Arts and came to Germany in 1994 to pursue advanced studies with Ingo Goritzki. She completed her concert diploma with Christian Wetzel in Leipzig. She worked as a substitute at the State Theatre Kassel and as principal English horn player in Klagenfurt before joining the Gürzenich Orchestra in 2002, initially as deputy principal oboist. Since 2007, she has held the solo English horn position.
