Jan Böhme

Jan Böhme was born in Bonn and initially studied as a young student and later in the degree program for Artistic Instrumental Training with a major in bass trombone at the Cologne University of Music. As a member of the Quadriga Trombone Quartet, he has won prizes at international brass chamber music competitions.

In 1998, he began his first engagement with the Symphony Orchestra of the City of Münster, followed by positions with the Symphony Orchestra of the City of Hagen and the Duisburg Philharmonic. Since 2006, Jan Böhme has been the bass trombonist of the Gürzenich Orchestra Cologne.
