Petra Hiemeyer

Petra Hiemeyer, born in Ulm, was admitted to the violin class of the Leopold Mozart Conservatory in Augsburg at the age of ten. In 1994, she passed the entrance examination at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich with Heinz Endres and completed her studies in 2000 with a master’s diploma under Kurt Guntner. Petra Hiemeyer gained orchestral experience, among others, with the Bavarian and German National Youth Orchestras, the Bavarian Radio Orchestra, and the Munich Philharmonic. Since January 2000, she has been a member of the first violins of the Gürzenich Orchestra Cologne.
