Sebastian Poyault
Sebastian Poyault studied with Klaus Becker in Hannover. During his studies, he was awarded the German Music Council scholarship twice and was selected as the best in his field for the "Bundesauswahl Konzerte Junger Künstler" (National Selection Concerts for Young Artists) on two occasions. He is also a prizewinner of the Richard Lauschmann Competition.
With his wind quintet, the "Acelga Quintet," he has performed at festivals and concert series both nationally and internationally, recorded numerous radio broadcasts for WDR, BR, Deutschlandradio, and SR, and won 3rd prize at the 2014 ARD International Competition.
After engagements with the orchestra of the Komische Oper Berlin, the Saarländisches Staatsorchester, the Deutsche Staatsphilharmonie Rheinland-Pfalz, and the Staatsorchester Braunschweig, he has been the deputy principal oboist of the Gürzenich Orchestra Cologne since 2015.
