Toshiko Tamayo
1st Violin
Toshiko Tamayo, born in Kassel, studied violin with Michael Gaiser at the Robert Schumann University of Music in Düsseldorf. She received further artistic inspiration in masterclasses with, among others, Christiane Hutcap, Thomas Brandis, and Igor Ozim. While still a student, she began performing with various orchestras. This led to temporary contracts with the Düsseldorf Symphony Orchestra, the Duisburg Philharmonic, and the Gürzenich Orchestra Cologne. Since 2010, Toshiko Tamayo has been a permanent member of the first violins in the Gürzenich Orchestra.
