Wan-Jo Lin
Violin – Orchestra academyBorn in Taichung, Taiwan, Wan-Jo Lin received her first piano lessons at the age of five, followed by violin lessons three years later.
From 2016 to 2018, she continued her studies at the Carl Maria von Weber University of Music Dresden and completed her Bachelor's degree at the Lübeck University of Music with Elisabeth Weber, specialising in orchestral conducting with Frank Maximilian Hube.
She is currently studying for a Master's degree with Daniel Sepec at the Lübeck University of Music. She gained further important impulses through masterclasses with Gerhard Schulz, Kurt Sassmannshaus, Stephan Picard, Elisabeth Kufferath, Tobias Steymans and David Chan, among others, at the Musik Festival.
As a scholarship holder of various foundations, the Ad Infinitum Foundation, the DAAD, the Förderergesellschaft der Musikhochschule Lübeck, Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now Hamburg and Deutsche Kammerakademie Neuss am Rhein, Wan-Jo currently plays a violin by Enrico Marchetti from the Chimei Culture Museum Foundation, Taiwan.
Wan-Jo has been a member of the Gürzenich Orchestra's Orchestra Academy since the start of the 2022/23 season.
