Das Philharmonie Parkhaus ist ab sofort (11. März 2024) wieder nutzbar. Die am 1. März kurzfristig vom Liegenschaftsamt der Stadt Köln vorgenommene Schließung ist nach der Behebung des technischen Defekts wieder aufgehoben.

In the concert

  • When do admissions begin?

      The doors to the Cologne Philharmonie will open 60 minutes before the concert starts. 

  • Are the cloakrooms available?

      The cloakrooms in the Kölner Philharmonie are open and free of charge. Please note that for security reasons larger bags and items may not be taken into the hall but may be left at the cloakroom.

      Availability of a cloakroom at other venues cannot be guaranteed and depends on the respective venue.

  • How long are the concerts? Will there be an interval?

      The concerts usually take place with an intermission and last between 80 and 120 minutes.

  • Will there be refreshments?

      There is a gastronomic offer before the concerts and during the breaks. Tuesday to Sunday the "Ludwig im Museum" is open for you after the concert, access is possible via the spiral staircase in the foyer.

  • Can I change my seat?

      In exceptional cases and for factual reasons, the hall staff may instruct the concertgoer to change seats.

  • Ticket purchase

      The box office in the Opern-Passagen between Breite Straße and Glockengasse is open to the public again.
      Monday to Friday from 10.00 -18.00, Saturday from 11.00-18.00.

      During the summer break from 04.07.-16.08.22 the ticket service in the Opernpassagen is closed. The telephone ticket and subscription service will be available during this time from Mon to Fri 10-14.

  • Box office

      The box office in the Philharmonie's vestibule is closed. The Philharmonie's new booking office at Kurt-Hackenberg-Platz/Bechergasse on the ground floor of the Brügelmannhaus (opposite the Kölner Philharmonie) opens 120 minutes before the concert and provides all services of the box office.
      The walk between the Kölner Philharmonie and the new shop can be managed without steps.
      Please note that only cashless payments can be made. Payments are possible with the card of your personal bank and with all major credit cards (Visa Card, Mastercard and American Express), via Apple Pay and Google Pay.

      Box offices at other venues usually open one hour before the concert. Please note that only cash payment is possible.

  • Discounts

      Pupils, students, trainees, BFD and FSJ workers (each up to and including 28 years of age), holders of a valid Cologne Pass as well as recipients of benefits according to SGB II (Social Code Book II), holders of a JULEICA as well as a Ehrenamtskarte (Volunteer Card) receive a 50% discount on the purchase of single tickets for the subscription concerts 1-12 as well as for the following special concerts in the Kölner Philharmonie: Festkonzert, Benefizkonzert and Passionskonzert. Chamber concerts are excluded from reductions. 

      Wheelchair users or severely disabled persons with a degree of disability of 50% or with a B in their disabled person's card receive a 50% reduction for all concerts upon presentation of proof. The accompanying person of a wheelchair user or severely disabled person receives a free ticket if the letter B is noted on the disabled person's ID. Tickets are available from the usual ticket agencies and at the box office. 

      Tickets for severely disabled persons accompanied by a disabled person, as well as wheelchair users and holders of an honorary/yuleica card, are only available at the stage's own box office in the Opernpassagen (not online), by telephone on +49 221 22128410 or by email tickets@buehnen.koeln.

      Please note that only one discount can be claimed at a time. The proof of discount must be shown when purchasing the ticket and at the entrance without being asked.

      The ticket is valid as a ticket (2nd class) on the extended VRS network (4 hours before the start of the event until closing time) and is not transferable to other persons after the event.

  • Special offer for young adults

      As of season 23/24

      Young people and young adults up to and including the age of 28 can purchase tickets in all seating categories for every concert of the Gürzenich Orchestra at the Kölner Philharmonie at a price of €8. A contingent of 100 tickets per concert is available for this purpose (bookable exclusively in the Gürzenich webshop). One ticket per person can be booked in advance. The following concerts are exempt from this rule: Up, Great Cinema, Soldiers, New Year's Eve Concert, Royal, and Family and School Concerts. As soon as the quota is exhausted, the regular discount regulations apply.

  • Standing room tickets

      For all concerts of the Gürzenich Orchestra (except chamber music, children's concerts, youth concerts, family concerts and school concerts), we offer a limited number of standing room tickets at a price of €10 in the webshop at guerzenich-orchester.de 24 hours before the event begins. Standing room tickets are available at the Kölner Philharmonie box office from two hours before the start of the event. A maximum of two standing room tickets can be purchased per person.

      Standing room tickets can be booked at the concert box office. (Please note: Payment can be made at the concert box office by EC or credit card. No cash payment). A limited number of tickets are also available via the Philharmonie's webshop and hotline (max. 50% of the total number of standing room tickets).

  • Return of tickets

      The return of admission tickets is excluded. Admission tickets cannot be replaced in case of loss.

Most concerts take place in Cologne Philharmonie. Informations about other venues will be shown on this website in connection with the concerts announced for these venues.

  • Travelling by car

      If you are planning to travel by car, you can use the Philharmonie car park for the special price of € 2.50 for up to one and a half hours before and for up to two hours after the concert: Just present your concert ticket and carpark ticket to the carpark attendant or pay at the ticket machine.

      Please note: Until further notice, the car park can only be reached from Rheinuferstraße. Due to the increased volume of traffic coming from the Rhine embankment, there is now an increased risk of traffic jams. Access via Komödienstraße is closed to motor vehicles. We therefore recommend that you either travel by public transport or allow extra time for your journey by car.

  • Travelling with Public transport

      Situated approx. 5 minutes on foot from Cologne's main railway station, the Kölner Philharmonie is easily reached using public transport: Furthermore, your Philharmonie admission ticket also serves as your return ticket when travelling on the regional Rhine-Sieg (VRS) transport network.

Wheelchair users pay the normal ticket price, wheelchair companions have free admission and do not need a ticket!

Severely disabled (with "B" in ID) pay the normal ticket price, companion has free admission and does not need a ticket!

In order to ensure the smoothest possible admission and good positioning, we would like to ask you to be punctual for the admission start.

 

Miscellaneous

  • Are there concert introductions?

      For the orchestral concerts, they begin one hour before the concert, last about 30 minutes and take place in the foyer gallery.

      The introductions for the chamber concerts begin 30 minutes before the concert and also take place in the foyer gallery.

  • Are there programme booklets for the concerts?

      Program brochure are available on the day of the concert. They are also available for download five days in advance, please refer to our overview page.

  • ARE PRIVATE PICTURE AND SOUND RECORDINGS PERMITTED?

      For legal reasons, audio and video recordings are not permitted at any time. The Gürzenich Orchestra reserves the right to produce and disseminate audio and video recordings of individual concerts. By using the concert ticket, the concertgoer declares his consent to the production and a possible dissemination of his or her image in media in conjunction with such a recording.

  • Can there be program changes?

      Dates, program, price and cast are subject to change.
