Age is not a matter of dispute here: even prehistoric man was tapping, beating, clapping and giving himself over to rhythm. Later, the primitive percussion instruments of early times became what we know today as drums. But what are they anyway? What can you do with it? And to what extent can percussion instruments even be used to illustrate topics such as sustainability and recycling? Percussionist Vivi Vassileva and conductor Ustina Dubitsky, two young musicians in a class of their own, invite you to a moderated family concert and show, among other things, what can be created from empty jam jars, coffee capsules and plastic bottles.
