Philippe Manoury, »Fanfare for Brass« Philippe Manoury, who worked closely with the Gürzenich Orchestra for three seasons as »Composer for Cologne«, wrote his »Fanfare for Brass« for the opening of the 3rd subscription concert in November 2020. This world premiere was supported by the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation as part of the project »Fanfares for a new Beginning«: every symphony concert in these difficult times starts with such a signal of hope and faith.
